Vehicle Description

PRICED SLASHED TO $11,900. Two-owner California Grand Touring Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) in near-perfect condition. AutoCheck Certified accident free. Features include AC, Bose Sound System, power windows, power mirrors, power door locks, 17" alloy wheels, seat heaters, side air bags, and leather seating. Available at our wholesale cost is a choice of a 5 year/100,000 additional mile powertrain warranty for $1,400, or a 5 year/125,000 miles on the odometer bumper-to-bumper (mimics the original factory warranty for $1,600. This car is garaged under a cover in Groveland - "Gateway to Yosemite".

The 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata is still unequaled when it comes to overall driving enjoyment and refinement. It is the one affordable convertible that remains true to motoring's pre-digital roots. The third generation Mazda MX-5 was introduced in 2005 and was in production until 2015. This generation introduced a Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) variant that features a folding mechanism that does not interfere with trunk space. During its release, the third generation MX-5 received several accolades such as the 2005-2006 Car of the Year Japan Award and Car and Driver's 10Best list from 2006 to 2013.

The Miata has one of the best automatics on the road: it doesn't give up much in the way of performance to the manual, and using the steering wheel mounted paddles shaves a couple tenths off of 0-60 MPH performance (6.6 seconds, which 0.6 quicker than the 1982 Ferrari 308 we once owned). The only real difference between the manual and the automatic comes at triple-digit speeds. The MX-5 automatic feels as neutral, nimble, and responsive as the manual. In fact, in a Car and Driver Magazine test it even pimped the manual around the skid pad, maintaining 0.91 g of grip instead of 0.90.

The 2009 MX-5 Miata is always a willing partner when one needs to unplug from the plugged-in world. The PRHT is often called the best power hardtop ever tested. This car can comfortably accommodate adults up to about 6'3.5" in height, and the passenger seats is designed for a child's seat.

This MX-5 Grand Touring PRHT had an original MSRP of $28,940, $1,840 more than a soft top Grand Touring, and $5,500 more than a base SV MX-5. Offered at $11,900 - an incredible   deal especially with the available warranties priced at about half what others charge for the same coverage.
