The CJ-7, 1976-1986, was intended to be a more civilized and luxurious version of the CJ-5. Compared to the CJ-5, it featured a 10-inch longer wheelbase and larger openings for doors that at least could make an effort to seal out the elements and be less awkward for most folks to use and get in and out of the vehicle.
The November 1984 edition of Autoweek reviewing the new 1984 CJ-7: "This Jeep has almost nothing in common with a modern car, which is exactly the point.... Is a Jeep a truck? An SUV? An off-roader? Nah, it is a Jeep -- it's in a class of its own". The 1984 Jeep CJ-7 was a famed 4×4 that preceded the Wrangler models. It delivered exhilaration and off-road fun. The CJ-7 was the next-to-last iteration of the Willys-inspired CJ series that ran from 1944 to 1986. Though caught between sub-segments, the 1984 Jeep CJ-77 is not a mere stopgap, nor is it Jeep’s failed attempt at riding the compact-pickup-truck wave. After all, this ’84 version belongs to the product line regarded as the “Last of a Great Breed.” The 1984 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade Package offered air conditioning, rocker panel moldings, spray-lined floors, black door inlay decal appliqués, and a trailer hitch came standard.
We offer this iconic CJ-7 for $23,000. It is warehoused in Nebraska. No financing is offered. No trades are accepted.
