1962 Ford F-100 Gasser Sellers Notes

Price slashed! California Gold Country truck since new with clear title. Super straight street- and strip-ready tribute B/G Gasser Flareside Short Bed with original Baffin Blue paint. Just completed professionally rebuilt 1976 Chevy 350: bored, new pistons, small cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Carter AFB carb with 1" 4-hole phenolic spacer, HEI electronic ignition, Hooker Headers, Turbo 350 transmission (entirely resealed) with B&M floor shift (manual tranny look), and Ford 9" rear end. New master brake cylinder and brake lines; boiled out gas tank. Conservatively estimated 350 HP, 375 lb.-ft torque.

Chassis, appearance details, and more by professional rat rod/hot rod builder Troy Kanneenberg, Gold Run, CA: new 15 x 4 and massive 16 x 12 ET wheels with 26 x 7.50 x 15 and 29 x 15.50 x 16 Hoosier Pro Street tires. New radiator, carpet, seat belts, windshield rubber, taillight lenses, shocks, and entire fuel system. All decals on truck are removable vinyl. Period correct red tinted rear window, Superior 500 steering wheel, and nostalgic-looking new Sunpro Super Tach II.

A Gasser is a type of hot rod originating on the dragstrips of the United States in the late 1950s and continued until the early 1970s. Gassers are based on production models from the 1930s to mid-1960s, which have been stripped of extraneous weight and jacked up using a truck beam axle to provide better weight distribution on acceleration (beam axles are also lighter than an independent front suspension), though a raised stock front suspension is common as well. By the late-1960s, the small-block Chevy was the most common engine option for Gassers - be they Chevy, Ford, or Mopar.

This F100 has great throttle response, plenty of power, rapid acceleration, and an awesome exhaust note. The truck always turns heads and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. Grabs more attention than a Testarossa! Pictures DO NOT do this pickup justice. Offered at $14,900. Everything works; no rust problems - just some surface rust.
