All mechanicals redone about 2k miles ago by a long-term Toyota factory mechanic as a father-son project. 22R-E rust-free West Coast 3-owner certified accident free by AutoCheck; AutoCheck Score 63 (versus 43-64 norm). Very clean inside/out; drives as-if new. Made in Japan, not in Fremont CA as most from 1991 forward. 1989 model year saw a redesign that produced a longer wheelbase; it earned Motor Trend‘s 1989 Truck of the Year award. This award kicked off a string of awards for years. Toyota outdid itself with this sturdy, reliable 1990 Toyota Truck. Did everyone not see what "Top Gear" did to one of these trucks? Turned over and rolled it into the ocean under water, dropped on its roof, set on fire...on and on it went...and the damn thing still ran and drove away. 1980's and early 1990s Toyota trucks are by a mile the most reliable (with the 22R or 22R-E engine, but not a V6). It just doesn't get any better or more fuel-efficient; many owners report averaging 28 mpg in these vintage fuel-injected trucks. This truck would be an excellent truck for weekend Home Depot trips, teen/college student, business use and promotion, as a shop truck, vineyard truck, restaurant gofer, catering, etc. Offered at $5,900.
